Goonies 2?

I'm not sure which is scarier -- the rumors of filming Goonies 2: Goonies Never Say Die (I mean, Chunk is skinny, for Pete's sake!), or Molly Ringwald in serious negotiation for making Sixteen Candles 2.

Isn't there a statute of limitations on when you can make a sequel? Goonies filmed in 1985; Sixteen Candles in 1984. (sigh)

I read somewhere that one proposed version of the movie wouldn't have just Data, Mouth, Chunk, etc, but would have a whole new gang of younger kids, and then the original cast would make an appearance. As like the parents of the younger generation of Goonies...? That makes me sad.

Speaking of Corey Feldman being a tool, VH1 had a segment on the top 100 Child Actors. And they interviewed Cory Haim (#26) on Cory Feldman (#8), and erin, you were right -- he is so incredibly fat! It was like "Oh, Corey Haim, you were the cute one and the less scary of the two, and now you're obese at 34." (Speaking of the Coreys, I just discovered they made "Dream a Little Dream 2". Yikes! And Corey Haim filed for bankruptcy in the late 90s.)

There's a little Corey Haim/Feldman trivia for ya.
