Things in life seem less constricting when pantless. Try it: you'll like it.

Fa-Shizzle
I promise to dedicate an entire post to erin's visit, but first I want to share a joke she told me while she was here:
Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella?
Fa-Drizzle
After telling this joke, erin giggled maniacally and inched away from me, afraid I was going to smack her.
It all goes back to Spring Break 2002, when erin, Kate, Gwen, and I went to Florida. As we were stuck in a tiny rental car with me driving all gazillion-and-a-half hours from Key West to Miami (and us passing signs noting the death count for the year on the tiny, winding road that leads from the keys to the Florida mainland, where instead of shoulders, the road drops immediately into the ocean), Gwen and erin sat in the backseat. I was stressed out, imagining me accidentally driving my best friends directly into the ocean. All was going peachy keen until Gwen and erin discovered that they both could speak Snoop Dogg's language. Fashizzle. Kate and I tried to carry a conversation over their inane conversation, but it was next to impossible. They'd say something, then giggle in these high-pitched tones that could have shattered the Hope Diamond.
Finally, after maybe 30 minutes, I eyed them in the rearview mirror and told them to knock it off. They didn't. So I said "If you say one more izzlish thing that Snoop Dogg would understand, I will pull this car over and make you walk."
We drove for another five minutes, and, I'm not sure who did it, more likely erin than Gwen, but suddenly out of the back I heard something like "Fashizzle", followed by giggling. Without a word, I slammed on the brakes and pulled the car over to the side of the road. The road on which dozens of people die every year.
Gwen and erin started screaming. Kate put her head in her hands. I sat there. Finally, I said "Dammit, I told you to knock it off. Both of you, get out of the car. Now. Get out. Get. Out." We sat in silence for several minutes, cars whizzing by, Gwen's hand on the doorhandle.
Finally, in a mouselike voice, Gwen squeaked: "We're sorry, Megs. No more. Honest."
So I pulled the car onto the road, and we continued on our way, Snoop Dogg dialect free.
We drove in silence for a few minutes, then erin whispered to Gwen: "Wow, my dad always threatened to pull the car over, but he never did. She's tough."
This joke was the first Snoop Dogg reference erin has made to me in three years. I'd like to see if we could make it at least twice as long before I hear another one.
